French Handsewn Baby Gown. This pattern is a reproduction of a gown from the 1920's. It features a gathering technique called Snail Shirring which is unique and easy to stitch. Pattern and complete directions for making this gown by hand using French Hand Sewn methods.
This gown is around 25" long and makes a lovely Christening or Dedication Gown as well as a special Gown when baby is ready to meet your friends and family. It is an instant Heirloom!
Kit includes Nelo Swiss Batiste, French Lace,Swiss Beading with Silk Ribbon to thread through. Plain Entredeux and Fancy Entredeux, and Pearl buttons. Size: Infant KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE PATTERN
You will need fine Cotton sewing thread and pink and green embroidery floss, or white embroidery floss. Or colors of your choice.
