Maline Baby Lace Beading (Maline is the Queen of heirloom laces) is 3/8". I use it as a Baby Beading for Sleeves and thread a 1/8" Ribbon through it in order to pull up the sleeve to fit. . I also use it in Lace Bands with no ribbon. It is just a beautiful Lace. Off White

Fine French Lace is made from 90% cotton with poly added for strength to keep it from breaking during the manufacturing process. Because of this a HOT iron is not recommended when pressing lace. Most lace will have a "heading". These are threads at the top of the lace which can be used to gather the lace. When possible, I like to use the top 2 threads for gathering because it gives better control of the gathers for stitching.
