This lovely  dress is made from "Emma's Smocked Baby Dresses"  pattern from The Old Fashioned Baby.  This pattern was inspired by an antique and it reflects that old fashioned style.  The back on each of the dresses is traditional baby dress back.  It features two tucks on either side of the back   opening.  No gathers to bother baby.   The Fancy Smocked Baby Dress ( View2)  is exquisite.  It has an embroidered yoke, Lace bands on the skirt and sleeves and the neck, sleeves and hem are trimmed with lace.  This dress was featured in the Sew Beautiful Pink Issue.

Kit :  Pink Fairy fabric,  Lace Insertion and Edging, Entredeux, antique Pearl Buttons and Floss.

I recommend: Madeira #80 Thread for sewing the lace and DMC #50 thread for sewing the dress.
